International Rescue Committee (IRC)
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. David Miliband, CEO & President, said the IRC will mobilize resources and partners to assist Ukrainians who are vulnerable and displaced, adhering at all stages to humanitarian principles.
United Help Ukraine
This organization receives and distributes donations, food and medical supplies to Ukrainian IDPs (internally displaced people), people of Ukraine affected by Russia’s invasion into Eastern Ukraine and annexation of Crimea, families of wounded or killed for freedom and independence of Ukraine. Their activities focus on fund-raising events, raising awareness of the crisis in Ukraine by engaging individuals, organizations, private and government institutions, and media in the U.S.
Care
CARE has launched an immediate response to reach 4 million Ukrainians with urgent aid, prioritizing the needs of women and girls, the elderly, and families. CARE will be working with local partners in the region, with an immediate priority to distribute critical food and water supplies as well as hygiene kits, cash assistance and psychosocial support to impacted families.
Nova Ukraine
This organization has several humanitarian efforts, including Heart2Heart, which assembles and delivers aid packages to Ukraine. Their mission is to provide humanitarian aid to vulnerable groups and individuals in Ukraine, raise awareness, and support Ukraine in its effort to build a strong civil society, to reform its educational system, and to eliminate corruption.
