We've seen tremendous examples of teams within the bank making an effort for the FoodBank, Natural Disaster reliefs, the Red Cross, and many more charity organizations. With the new BrightFunds platform, we can extend these efforts to all employees and share the passion of being part of a meaningful cooperative organization.
Turkey/Syria Earthquake Relief Fund
A powerful and devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria in the early morning hours of February 6, 2023, leading to displacement, injury, and death in catastrophic numbers. The infrastructure across several Turkish provinces as well as northern Syria has been destroyed, bringing further instability to communities already in crisis. Your donation to this Fund will help the following organizations provide on-the-ground needs assessments, rescue efforts, resource distribution, and medical intervention to those impacted.
Rabobank North American COVID-19 Response Fund
Coronavirus COVID-19 has impacted the world in unimaginable ways. While we may feel isolated from our communities and powerless in the face of the virus, our solidarity and support is needed now more than ever. Rabobank has created the North American COVID-19 Response Fund on Bright Funds to make it easier for those who want to help in the COVID-19 relief efforts. While volunteering is currently complicated by the need to socially distance, directing donations to key organizations that are on the frontlines combatting hunger and are supporting health care workers in our communities, allows us to continue to assist those in need during this time. Remember that when you give, Rabobank will match your donation 100% up to $500- doubling your individual impact. Please consider donating to this fund, which spreads out the donation across the included charities, or to individual charities listed. Rabobank Humanitarian Support for Israel-Gaza Fund
We stand united in our condemnation of the terrorist attacks that occurred in Israel. The senseless violence of yet another war and the horrific images we are all witnessing are painful and hard to bear. We stand together in support of the victims on both sides, and all colleagues, friends, families and clients who have been impacted. Rabobank has created a fund in Bright Funds for those who wish to provide humanitarian aid to the victims, their families and communities. Rabobank Humanitarian Support for Ukraine Fund
The terror affecting the Ukrainian people has deeply shocked the employees, customers and members of Rabobank. “To see a child fleeing Russian shells, leaving the warm memories of home for an unknown destination: it is heartbreaking. This war is a stain on our history,” says Managing Board chair Wiebe Draijer. “We see the images of refugees, we see the upheaval, and we feel powerless. Our thoughts are with the victims of this barbaric violence, their families and the Ukrainian people.” This invasion is horrific. We hope that government leaders will find a way to end the violence and bring stability back to Europe on all fronts. It is heartening to see that countless initiatives have been launched around the world to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. We cannot and do not want to stand back and watch. ITOPS Culture Champions Holiday Giving Campaign Fund
Announcing the kick-off to our Holiday Giving Campaign, sponsored by the ITOPS Culture Champions. Due to your generosity, we were successful last year helping various not-for-profit organizations and we can’t wait to do it again! For this campaign, we have selected Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. Feeding America consists of a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries, and community-based organizations.
